Pateley Bridge is the home of the world famous Oldest Sweet Shop in the World and is located on a traditional yet vibrant High Street.

Pateley Bridge is the only town in Nidderdale an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) the most beautiful and undiscovered dale in the Yorkshire Dales - a hidden gem! Naturally a better place!

The High Street besides the Oldest Sweet Shop has two renowned family butchers both award winning - one Britains Best Butcher of the year 2014.  Pateley Bridge High Street is full of independent shops including bakeries, fish shop, greengrocers, designer dress shop, chemist, hardware, numerous tea rooms, refreshments, post office, bank, cash point and Petrrol station. 

A museum is located on king street with nearby workshops including glass blowers, sculptures and artists.  Nearby is a leisure centre with swimming pool and a medical centre.

To the east of Pateley you will find the National Trust’s Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey which is a World Heritage Centre.

Located in west of Pateley there is Two Stoops, Coldstone Cut monument and Stump Cross Caverns.  North of Pateley is upper Nidderdale where you will find How Stean Gorge.
