Sarsaparilla herb was traditionally used in soft drinks. It is a flavour famous throughout Lancashire and beyond as a herbal drink and used to be sold in Temperance Bars along with other old favourite flavours such as Dandelion & Burdock, Ginger Beer and Cream Soda.

Oldest Sweet Shops Keith Tordoff, recently talked about Sarsaparilla as "poor man's Viagra" on the ITV programme Robbie Coltrane's B Road Britain! Original herbal sarsaparilla drop sweets!
